Antony Connor was born in a cold December night in 1965 in Allentown, Pennsylvania. In 1990, he completed his acting studies before the Joint Examination Board at the Prayner Conservatory in Vienna. Despite what he himself describes with a shrug and a shy Rühmann-esque smile as a rather accidental career choice, he can look back on an impressive career as an actor.

Since then, he has been engaged at, among others, the Theater der Jugend and the Volkstheater in Vienna, the Zimmertheater Tübingen, the theaters in Reutlingen and Bielefeld, and the Landestheater in Bregenz, before becoming a permanent member of the Schauspielhaus Salzburg ensemble. His favorite roles include a gardener in Yvonne, Princess of Burgundy by Witold Gombrowicz and his very first role as the Frog King. Later, he took on countless stage roles, including Adolf Hitler in Dream and Sorrow of Young H. by Robert Schneider, Touchstone in As You Like It by Shakespeare, and Father Flynn in Doubt by John Patrick Shanley.

Salzburg has since become a second home for Antony, and with its many theater stages, he considers it one of the most beautiful cities in the world—only the sea is missing.
